Vehicle Listing Description
History:
I don’t have a documented history for the car, just what the seller told me when I purchased it. Here’s the story. Car was purchased new by an attorney in San Francisco. He drove it until the clutch went out. He then put it storage until his daughter was old enough to drive. It was her car for a while (don’t know how long) until she sold it to a man in Los Angeles. This man owned the car for approximately 14 years. During this time, he had it repainted from the original tangerine to polo red. He ran into financial problems and asked his brother to buy the car from him. His brother agreed to this and purchased the car and returned it to his home in Ohio. This man kept it for 2 or 3 years. I purchased the car from him 3 years ago. During the last 3 years I have invested a large amount of my money and time bring this car back to life.

Reason for selling:
The car has become a love-hate relationship. I love the car but hate the money that I’ve had to invest to get it back into shape. I have over $30,000 of true cash invested, and if you counted my time, it would probably be $35~40k. I’ve done as much as I’m going to do and now it’s someone else’s chance to step into a near fully restored car and finish the details. Looking for $27,500 obo.

Description:
This is a 1969 911t, which was the first year for the long wheel-base. It has a 2.0l 6 cylinder engine. I believe the car to be a matching number’s car although I’ve never officially verified it. It shows 65,370 miles. The person I bought it from thought the odometer hadn’t rolled yet, but the title says “miles exceed” so that’s how I’ll have to sell it. Since I’ve owned it, it has been in the rain one time, other than that, it has always been inside with a cover on it.

Brakes:
Approximately 500 miles on a complete redo of the original brakes. New pads, rotors, and calipers were rebuilt.

Tires:
Guessing, but tires are nearly new. Seller told me that he had just purchased them so I would estimate them having around 3,000 miles on them.

Engine:
Dual Weber Carburetors were rebuilt when I purchased the car. It has new plugs, good used set of wires, new cap, rotor, points, coil, condenser, and some oil lines were replaced. The engine was painted/detailed when it was removed. Just replaced both batteries with 2 new ones. Heat exchangers and muffler were both replaced with good used pieces. New engine compartment insulation and seals. New fuel pump, pressure regulator and fuel filter.

Transmission:
Rebuilt and now has approximately 500 miles. Still stiff shifting into 1st and 2nd because of the new gears and syncro’s. New flywheel, & pressure plate and clutch is still in very good condition. New shifter bushings.

Interior:
Front seats removed/sanded/painted/recovered, rear seat bottoms replaced with good used pieces, Good used dash with only one very minor defect (not an original with the speaker hole), replaced ignition switch and re-keyed door locks to match, replaced hazard switch, has original headliner, have a Becker Europa stereo that needs repaired but a descent stereo and speakers are working in the car. Completely new carpet kit installed and any vinyl pieces that we bad were recovered. New pedal board on driver side and good used pedal board installed on passenger side. I have the front door pockets, but they need some work and I don’t either of the rear “long” door pockets.

Exterior:
Stripped to bare metal and repainted back to original color, every body seal replaced with new, and every window seal replaced with new. New deco trim moldings on both sides.

Body:
Rear pan replaced, front suspension supports cut out and replaced, new gas tank installed. Windshield washer sprayers replaced. New antenna. Undercoating sprayed on bottom of the pan. New joint boots. New rear shocks. Couple bad spots on the battery boxes were patched up.

Windows:
Rear defrost electrical switch works and power goes to the back window, but the window installers we not able to make the connection to the glass. Front glass has slight white “frosting” on the bottom. Passenger side window has 2 half dollar spots where the sand blaster hit the glass. New seals on all windows when they were installed.

What the car needs: (really needs nothing to just drive and enjoy)
1) License plate lights – both in good working order, but when body was redone, the engine lid was taken apart to correct some rust issues. When it was put back together it was slightly smaller than original. Light on driver side would not fit back in properly. Can leave it like it is and do nothing. This would only be required if you wanted to try to win shows.
2) Front Door pockets refurbished and installed
3) Rear “long” door pockets
4) Vinyl on under-dash pad replaced or recovered (has a few cracks)
5) Black rubber hole caps installed in door jams
6) Rubber cover for door light switch on passenger side
7) 5~10 years – the front floor pan and rear seat pans may need to be replaced.
8) Front struts
9) Chrome on steel wheels could use refinished
10) New piece of mirror installed on side mirror. Old one is not very clear.
11) Original white sun visor clips.
12) Has a very small oil drip. I believe it’s from the rear main seal.
13) Linkage to the hand throttle lever by the parking brake inside the car is missing
14) Glove box light does not work. Probably a bulb.
15) No original tire jack
16) Fan blower motor squeaks at first but quiets down as it runs…..I never run it.
17) Front trunk carpet kit could use replaced, but it’s not required.
18) Front trunk lights are missing.
19) Since the engine was put back in after painting, it stutters slightly below 2,500 RPM. Runs like a champ after that. I’ve tried to adjust but can’t get it any better. Someone who is an expert on these carbs could probably fix this for very little money.

Extras:
Miscellaneous parts (Gaskets, rotor, cap, light bulbs, etc)
Becker Europa radio (needs repaired)
Car cover (has a couple quarter sized holes in front)
Custom made cup holder

Summary:
I’ve tried to mention everything that I can think of regarding this car. I’ve taken care of all the hard work, all you have to do is the details. My goal was to get the car back to original, but it could easily be turned into an RS Replica or updated into whatever you want. It’s an outstanding platform to build from and I can guarantee that this has held it’s value better than my house over the last 18 months. I have many many additional pictures available upon request…..cemarks@woh.rr.com or 419-306-4275.
